
Position Description
The Salesforce Solution Architect / Engagement Director will play a critical role in continuing to grow our thriving B2B Commerce practice. Saltbox Solution Architects are responsible for working closely with Saltbox’s sales and delivery teams while using our successful model to deliver B2B Commerce and core Salesforce solutions. This is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for participating in pre-sales and solution architecture, and will lead the implementation of Salesforce solutions.
Responsibilities:
Pre Sales
Continue to grow our SF B2B Commerce practice and build relationships with the Salesforce internal Commerce Account teams (AEs and RVPs).
Partner with Saltbox account executives and the managed services team to drive additional opportunities into existing accounts
Support pre-sales activities inclusive of participating in sales calls, scoping, estimating and proposal development.
Based on client requirements, develop integrated enterprise solution architectures, blueprints, and roadmaps leveraging cross-cloud Salesforce technology and products.
Estimate the effort required to implement the proposed solution and define the delivery approach.
Project Leadership
Be responsible for the overall delivery of engagements ensuring all team members are accountable for their individual roles and deliverables
Proactively identify, manage through, and when appropriate, escalate project challenges and risks
Identify and address project scope issues and manage the customer through the process of issue resolution or change orders
Provide feedback, leadership, and direction to individual team members within a specific engagement
Solution Architecture
Communicate concepts, architectures, solution approach options and evaluations to various stakeholders through effective diagrams, written materials, and presentations
Complete analysis of client business and technology needs against available Salesforce features and functionality.
Play a dedicated, client-facing role throughout delivery of proposed solutions to ensure optimal outcomes, providing feedback, guidance and review to delivery teams as user stories are developed
Drive thought leadership, offerings and innovative approach to solutions on behalf of clients.
Understand broader technical landscape best practices to drive new opportunities into existing accounts.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Expert at implementing and leading Salesforce B2B Commerce for external clients.
Has current relationships with the Salesforce internal Commerce Account teams (AEs and RVPs).
7+ years solutioning experience within the Salesforce ecosystem
Experience architecting cross-cloud solutions with Salesforce’s products, including B2B Commerce, Order Management, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, as well as additional preference for CPQ / Revenue Cloud Advanced.
Salesforce certification(s) within the above-mentioned Salesforce products or equivalent experience with the ambition to become fully certified.
Solid stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to effectively articulate solution architectures and transformation journeys, and related outcomes.
Ability to engage with senior clients, including C-level clients, in a business-centric, business outcome-oriented dialogue.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Travel as needed for client engagements
