So, Salesforce Renamed a Few Things — Here’s What You Need to Know

Salesforce has introduced new names for two products many of our customers rely on. To help reduce confusion (and to make sure search engines can connect both the legacy and updated terminology), here’s the straightforward translation:

  • Revenue Cloud → Agentforce Revenue Management (ARM)

  • Commerce Cloud → Agentforce Commerce

From a functionality standpoint, nothing dramatic changes overnight. The products continue to evolve on their existing roadmaps; the names simply reflect Salesforce’s broader shift toward its AI and Agentforce strategy.

At Saltbox Mgmt, our perspective is simple: we work with these tools every day, and whatever they’re called, our job is to help customers use them effectively across the entire revenue and commerce lifecycle. That doesn’t change.

Of course, anyone familiar with the Salesforce ecosystem knows that renaming is something of a tradition. It can make the landscape feel more complicated than it needs to be, especially for teams trying to align systems, roadmaps, and internal language. So our goal here is to provide a single, clear reference point for both the old and new terminology.

If you come across documentation, presentations, or internal conversations that still reference Revenue Cloud or Commerce Cloud, that’s normal — these names have been in use for years. And if Salesforce updates the branding again in the future, we’ll update this page as well. Consider it a living glossary for anyone navigating the ecosystem.

For now, the takeaway is simple: the names have changed, but the work they support — and the outcomes we focus on — remain the same.
